Steve Jobs has always been known as the co-founder of many’s favorite technology companies. However, very few people know that the technological and entrepreneurial genius applied for the job his Apple days ago. Its living proof was recently auctioned for $ 3,43.00 or Rs 2.5 crore.
This “proof” comes in the form of a job application filed in 1973 by Steve Jobs. The job was only 18 years old at the time, and it was the only job application of his career full of young jobs.
Of course, big things are waiting for work. The signature expression of a young job is a clear example of the innocence we all experience when looking for our first source of income. Jobs mentioned the presence of a driving license in the app, but access to the phone and traffic was “possible, but not possible.”
So, it is easy to see how there is a unique appeal in a job application, which is one of the reasons it sells for such a large amount. Keep in mind that this is not the first time job applications have been sold at auction.
These monuments have been auctioned three times before, each time the value rising. This March, the same job application sold GBP 162,000 (or Rs 1.7 crore). It went on sale for the first time in 2017 with Bonham in New York.
A kind of auction
However, this auction was a first in many respects. Initially, this was not just a physical copy of the job application. It is sold in NFT or non-fungal token form.
In fact, it is one of the main reasons for holding an auction. A group of friends, called Windorpe Ventures, held an auction to find out if the digital object was the equivalent of its physical form. When people bid for a physical job application in US dollars, it was auctioned off using NFT Ethereum.
At the end of the auction the panel received the requested response. The auction ended with a printed copy of Steve Jobs’ job application, four times larger than the NFT version.
So, we know that people are more interested in the original letter written by the job itself, not just the digital copy of it. Does this principle apply to other art forms? This answer will shape the future of NFTs around the world.
